The Town of Sunapee is seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of Assessment and Land Use Coordinator. This full time (FSLA) non-exempt position has a competitive salary and excellent benefits, including health, dental, life and disability insurance, retirement plan and paid time off. Starting pay is incumbent upon qualifications and experience.
Reporting to the Code Compliance Officer, this individual will be responsible for performing highly responsible clerical and technical duties while coordinating the functions of the Assessment, Planning and Zoning Departments. This position Serves as the Town’s primary contact with the general public concerning assessment and land use matters, including but not limited to correspondence, records keeping and preparation.
Qualification requirements include a bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university in Land Use Planning, Public Administration, Environmental Science, Regional Planning or related field required, and three to five years of relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification and experience substituting on a year-for-year basis.
Computer orientation and proficiency in business office software, file and database management, demonstrated skill in oral and written communication and in interpersonal relations, including the ability to build and maintain collegial and effective work relationships with town staff, board members, and members of the public is required.
Prior municipal land use experience is a plus, but not required.
