Dartmouth baseball hosted the Brown Bears at Red Rolfe Field at Biondi Park for an Ivy League doubleheader on April 11, splitting the two games with a win and a loss.
The matchup was important for both teams as they continued their conference schedules. Dartmouth won the first game 4-0, using three home runs to secure victory, but lost the second game to Brown by a score of 13-3.
In game one, Nate Isler led Dartmouth on the mound with six scoreless innings and five strikeouts, earning his first win of the season and surpassing 100 career strikeouts. Stefan Di Corrado hit his first collegiate home run to open scoring in the second inning. Milo Suarez added a two-run homer in the third inning, while Tyler Sirchia contributed another solo shot in the eighth. Mac Burke earned his fourth save of the season with three scoreless innings and five strikeouts.
The second game saw Brown take control early with a three-run home run in the second inning. Dartmouth responded with runs from Sirchia and Alejandro Puig but could not keep pace as Brown extended its lead throughout the game. The Bears scored five runs in the eighth inning and added two more in the ninth. Dartmouth attempted a rally late but ultimately fell short.
Pitchers Nate Kugler, Trey Sejnoha, and Aidan Plummer all appeared for Dartmouth during game two. Kugler allowed five runs over five innings while Sejnoha gave up six more across three frames.
The series between Dartmouth and Brown will conclude on Sunday, April 12, when both teams play their final regular season matchup at Red Rolfe Field at Biondi Park.
