Dartmouth baseball lost to Yale 7-3 in the opening game of its final series of the 2026 season, according to a May 8 announcement. The matchup took place in New Haven, with Dartmouth starting strong but ultimately falling behind after key innings by the Bulldogs.
The result leaves Dartmouth with a record of 15-23 overall and 7-2 in Ivy League play. This game was important as it marked the beginning of the last series for Dartmouth this season.
Yale took an early lead in the first inning with a leadoff double followed by a run-scoring single. Dartmouth responded quickly, as Tyler Sirchia hit a double and Milo Suarez followed with a home run, giving Dartmouth a brief lead at 2-1. Suarez hit another home run later in the sixth inning—his fourth this season—to put Dartmouth ahead again at 3-2.
However, Yale answered immediately in their half of the sixth inning by scoring four runs through three hits and capitalizing on two errors from Dartmouth. The Bulldogs added another run in the eighth inning after drawing a walk and using small ball tactics.
Nate Isler started for Dartmouth and struck out eleven batters over six innings despite being charged with the loss. Mac Burke pitched one scoreless inning, striking out two batters, while Trey Sejnoha allowed one run during his appearance.
Dartmouth will finish its regular season against Yale on Sunday, May 10 with a doubleheader starting at 11:30 a.m., which will be available for streaming on ESPN+ or through live stats on DartmouthSports.com.
