Dartmouth men’s squash team achieved a 9-0 victory over Williams College on Friday during the CSA National Team Championships in Philadelphia. The Big Green secured five sweeps in the first, second, third, fourth, and sixth positions.
In the first position, Gurshan Jolly won his match in straight games, taking the sets 11-7, 11-9, and 11-2. Arihant Kalamangalan Sunil also swept his opponent at the second position with scores of 11-5 and two consecutive 14-12 wins.
Wei Yan Tho managed to hold off his opponent in three games (13-11, 11-6, 11-1) at the third position. Sam Boulanger added another sweep for Dartmouth at fourth position with set scores of 11-6, 11-9, and 11-7. Brandon Wang completed a straight-games win at sixth position by posting scores of 11-9, 11-7, and 11-8.
Felix Feldman and Rohan Ray each secured victories in four-game matches at seventh and eighth positions respectively. Feldman dropped one game but finished with a win (11-7, 6-11, 11-7, 11-5). Ray lost his first game but recovered to win three straight (8-11, 11-2, 11-9, 11-7).
At fifth position Callan Venkatesan came back from losing two games to win a five-game match (11–13, 11–7, 7–11, 11–5, 11–5). Warren Klein also went to five games before closing out his match at ninth position (12–10, 11–8, 8–11, 8–11, 11–8).
The team will conclude its season against Cornell on Saturday.
