Several Dartmouth Big Green athletic teams are set to compete in major events during the week of May 12. The women’s sailing team will participate in the ICSA Women’s Fleet Race National Championship, hosted by the University of South Florida from May 15 to May 18. The team last competed at Tulane two weeks ago, finishing sixth at the ICSA Women’s Team Race National Championship. Last year, they finished tenth in this event. More information on following the championship will be available on DartmouthSports.com.

The women’s rowing team will begin its postseason at the Ivy League Championship in Pennsauken on Saturday, concluding Sunday. Earlier this month, they earned three runner-up finishes and a podium spot in varsity eight at the Women’s Eastern Sprints in Worcester, Massachusetts, placing second overall behind Brown.

Men’s and women’s track and field athletes are heading to Princeton for the Outdoor Ivy League Championships on Saturday and Sunday at Weaver Stadium. Jada Jones was last season’s outdoor 200-meter champion at this event, with several other Big Green athletes also reaching podium finishes or scoring points for their conference standings. Live results will be posted on DartmouthSports.com.

Dartmouth lightweight rowing opens its championship season with Eastern Sprints competition Sunday in Worcester after recently defeating Columbia and winning both Varsity 8 and Second Varsity races two weeks ago. Last year at Eastern Sprints, Dartmouth claimed silver in varsity four and finished fifth in varsity eight.

Heavyweight rowing is also set to race at Eastern Sprints on Sunday after a two-week break following an impressive performance against Yale that included victories across multiple boat classes. At last year’s Eastern Sprints, heavyweight rowing finished third overall with medals earned in three races.
