Dartmouth women’s lacrosse defeated UMass Lowell 23-5 on April 14, closing out non-conference play with a decisive victory.

The win marks Dartmouth’s seventh consecutive game this season scoring at least 15 goals, maintaining an undefeated record when reaching that threshold. The team tied its season high for goals scored in a single game.

Samantha Bennett opened the scoring early in the first quarter, starting a five-goal run for Dartmouth. Annie Small and Charlotte Myers added to the lead before Ryan Hapgood and Lauren Riley extended it to 5-0. After UMass Lowell responded with two goals, Dartmouth answered with seven straight, including three from Catherine Erb within minutes. By halftime, the Big Green led 15-3.

In the second half, Etta Coburn and Small continued Dartmouth’s offensive push. Kate Riley scored late in the third quarter to make it an 18-5 advantage going into the final period. In the fourth quarter, Avery Coleman netted her first two career goals while McLean Stokes and Emma Goodwin also found the back of the net. Erb capped off her career day by scoring her seventh goal at the end of regulation.

Erb finished with eight points on seven goals and one assist. Myers contributed one goal and three assists while Katie Barr, F. O’Keeffe, and Mia Puccio each recorded three points. Fourteen different players scored for Dartmouth during the match.

Maya Kendall led draw controls with nine as eight different players contributed in that category. On defense, Ellie Burdick, Mia Jensen, Caroline Kendall, and Madeleine Chun each caused turnovers while Puccio collected four ground balls—the most on the team.

Goalkeeper Ruby Lucken made five saves in the first half before Jordan Healy took over for nearly thirty-one minutes; Healy recorded two saves before Julia Fortier played out the final minutes of action.

Dartmouth limited UMass Lowell to just seventeen shot attempts (ten on goal), compared to forty-two shot attempts (twenty-nine on goal) by Dartmouth’s offense.

The Big Green will return home to Scully-Fahey Field on Saturday, April 18 at noon for their home finale against Columbia; fans can watch live broadcasts of that game on ESPN+ or NESN+.
