Lebanon announces candidate filing dates for March 2026 city and school elections

Declarations of candidacy for several municipal and school offices in Lebanon will be accepted at the City Clerk’s Office starting January 21, 2026. The filing period opens at 9:00am on Wednesday, January 21, and closes at 5:00pm on Friday, January 30, with extended office hours from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on the last day.

Positions open for election include one city councilor each for Wards 1, 2, and 3 (all two-year terms), two at-large city councilors (two-year terms), three library board trustees (three-year terms), various ward clerks and moderators (two-year terms), and supervisors of the checklist in Wards 2 and 3 (six-year terms). School offices up for election are district moderator, treasurer, clerk (each one-year term), and three school board members (three-year terms).

Candidates must be registered voters in Lebanon. Additionally, those seeking a city council seat must have lived in Lebanon for at least two years before the election.
