The City of Lebanon announced on Apr. 7 that it is seeking residents to serve on various boards, committees, and commissions, with several vacancies currently available.
These volunteer positions are important because they help shape city policies, review projects, and provide recommendations that guide decisions affecting the community. The city says these roles offer an opportunity for residents to be involved in local government and contribute their perspectives.
In addition to existing openings, the city is forming a new Finance Advisory Committee. According to the announcement, this committee will advise the City Council on future budgets and assist in determining whether proposed budgets meet the city’s needs based on current and anticipated resources. The committee is created under RSA 32:24 as an advisory body only; it does not have any official budgetary authority.
Residents from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply for these opportunities. Positions are available across many boards and committees, including alternate member roles.
The city encourages interested individuals to view current openings and apply online. Questions about serving can be directed to the City Clerkâs Office through its online portal.
