A public hearing organized by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will take place to discuss a proposed roundabout at the intersection of Mascoma Street, High Street, and Mechanic Street. The project aims to replace the current four-leg intersection with a roundabout to improve safety, increase capacity, and address operational deficiencies.
The hearing is scheduled for Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. According to NHDOT, “the improvements will increase safety, and capacity and address the operational deficiencies at the intersection of Mascoma Street, High Street, and Mechanic Street.” The proposal may also affect historical properties in the area.
This session is being held under NH RSA 230:14 and Public Law 100-17 (Surface Transportation and Uniform Relocation Assistance Act of 1987). While remote access will be available through LebanonNH.gov/LIVE, NHDOT rules specify that comments or questions from remote participants will not be accepted.
Further details about the project can be found on the NHDOT website as well as on LebanonNH.gov/Roundabout.
