On December 8, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. the Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing on aproposed Zoning Amendment at the Lisbon Railroad Station on Central Street.

The proposed amendment would revise Section 5.6.3 of the Zoning Ordinance to change “Churches” from a Special Exception in Districts A, B. C and D to being Permitted by right in all Districts. This will bring Lisbon’s Zoning Ordinance into compliance with HB 1021 prohibiting the regulation or restriction of the use of land or structures primarily used for religious purposes.
