On Saturday, March 8, former Newport High School standout Tanya Sanchez’s current college team, the Bridgeport Purple Knights, won 3-2 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Gannon Golden Knights.
The game took place at USSSA Space Coast Complex. This was their first matchup against the Golden Knights this season.
The Purple Knights’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, March 13 at 2 p.m. at Pelz Field against Southern Connecticut Owls.
