Town of Springfield issued the following announcement on October.
Come watch teams of oxen and horses haul logs out of the woods to be milled into lumber and then used to build the new barn at the Historical Society next summer. Free Hot dogs, chips, cookies, and water. Donations accepted. To be held at the Cutting Farm on Sanborn Hill Rd. (Rain date is Sunday, Oct. 17)
