City of Lebanon issued the following announcement on October 26.
The City of Lebanon 2021 Total Tax Rate has been set by the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration at $26.98, down from $27.09 in 2020, resulting in a net reduction of 0.41%.
The municipal portion of the total tax rate was projected to be $10.21 (2.5% over 2020). Increased revenue sharing by the State of New Hampshire for Meals and Rooms Taxes has provided the City with an additional $330,000 in unanticipated revenue. That amount combined with an increased total net valuation for taxable land within the City has dropped the anticipated tax rate increase for 2021 to 1%.
