City of Lebanon issued the following announcement on November 4.
With fuel and electric prices predicted to rise, the Lebanon Human Services Department offers the following information for those who are seeking assistance.
Fuel and Electric Assistance
Grafton County NH residents having difficulty paying for fuel (e.g. oil, propane, wood) and electricity can apply for Fuel Assistance (LIHEAP) and Electric Assistance through Tri-County CAP. Please call Tri-County CAP at 603-968-3560 to start the application process. Visit our Fuel and Electric Assistance page for additional information, including income guidelines.
Renter and Homeowner Assistance
New Hampshire renters who are having difficulty paying their rent and/or utilities during the pandemic can also apply for financial assistance from the NH Emergency Rental Assistance Program (NHERAP). Funding is expected to be available through at least 2022. The state’s five Community Action Programs accept and process applications for assistance. Applications can be submitted at CAPNH.org or TCCAP.org
New Hampshire homeowners who are having difficulty paying their home mortgage and/or utilities and have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic can apply for assistance from the Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF). See HomeHelpNH.org/Homeowners/HAF for more information about the HAF program.
