City of Lebanon: 2022 Statistical Revaluation

65

City of Lebanon issued the following announcement on December 15.

The City of Lebanon has contracted with Vision Government Solutions to do a statistical update of values for 2022. The valuation phase will be starting in early Spring 2022 and will be finalized in July 2022.

Vision will be working with the Assessor’s Office to make this project a successful one. A statistical update/revaluation will determine the current fair market value of every property in the City. The process also equalizes the values of all properties, for a fair distribution of the tax burden.

The major phases to a statistical update are Sales Data Collection, Market Analysis, Valuation, Field Review, and Informal Hearings. During the first phase of the project, data collectors will be visiting properties that have recently sold, to verify the property characteristics. Once the valuation phase is complete, valuation notices will be mailed to taxpayers with the proposed new value. Informal hearings will then be available for taxpayers that have questions or concerns with new proposed values.

Vision personnel will also be driving through the City reviewing all properties to update the Assessor’s database. All Vision personnel vehicles will be registered with the Police, as well as the Assessor’s Office at City Hall.

You can visit the Vision Government Solutions website at https://www.vgsi.com/revaluation-overview/ for information that explains the valuation process and to read answers to frequently asked questions.
