Town of Sunapee issued the following announcement on January 5.
Good Morning:
The ice skating rink on Veteran’s Field was flooded on Monday January 3rd, 2021 with assistance from the Sunapee Fire Department. The ice is not suitable for skating on at this time, and the rink will be closed until such time that the ice is safe. We will continue to flood the skating rink with additional water as temperatures allow us to make ice. Please respect the “Rink Closed” signs and stay off the ice surface until we determine that it is safe for skating.
