Town of Bristol issued the following announcement on January 29.
There has been a lot of discussion in the community about the Sewer Extension project. The Select Board remains committed to working with its engineers and staff to gather all the facts and weigh out the options before making a decision. The Select Board appreciates all the feedback from community members who are still deciding, in favor of, or concerned about the project. We hear you and want to reiterate that we are still gathering the information, including visiting other communities with similar projects, to make an educated decision.
The Select Board is having a Work Session on Thursday, February 3, with Underwood Engineers and USDA staff. The Select Board does not take public comments during Work Sessions as it is our time to review presented information, ask questions to the presenters and think through its options. This Work Session will be recorded and posted on the Town website on the front page under the News section and on the community tv station Channel 24.
The Select Board will take the information presented by the engineers and staff under advisement and will not be making any decisions on February 3. As there will likely be more questions and information needed to make decisions, the Select Board will ask for that information and likely hold another work session in February/March. The Select Board is also considering hosting additional public information sessions in February/March to continue listening to the community.
Thank you.
