Town of Bristol issued the following announcement on March 7.
Over the course of the last two months, the Select Board held multiple work sessions and public meetings with the engineering team in a stepwise fashion to evaluate if and how the sewer extension project should move forward. Ultimately, the Select Board decided to scale back the project. At its March 3, 2022, meeting, the Select Board voted to in favor of deferring the next steps for the Lake District Sewer Project, but will be advancing needed CIP projects including the EDA and CDBG grant funding programs. The grant funds acquired for these items along with additional grants funds that will be applied for will cover the Central Street Pump Station and other Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects to replace aging and failing infrastructure around Central Street.
On the project page, you will find the Board's motions and background information for why they selected the projects they did. More information will be posted to this website in the coming days that will more fully explain the project's scope and cost.
