City of Lebanon: Week of the Young Child

46

City of Lebanon issued the following announcement on March.

Thank you, Early Childhood Educators! You are essential! The City of Lebanon invites you to join us in appreciation of the childcare workers in our communities. The Week of the Young Child, April 2 - 8, 2022, was created to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.

What can we do to recognize the staff of Early Care and Education programs in our area?

  • Send appreciation notes to childcare programs
  • Offer discounts to early childhood educators at your business
  • Send breakfast or lunch to childcare programs
The City of Lebanon is committed to supporting early childhood programs in the Upper Valley through active participation in the Vital Communities Early Care & Education Initiative. We understand the difficulties in finding and affording childcare and are working together to "investigate solutions for this complex issue that touches so many aspects of our life in the Upper Valley."

For a list of childcare centers/preschools in Lebanon, please see our Life in Lebanon webpage.

The Week of the Young Child® is an annual celebration by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
