City of Lebanon: Reminder that Burn Permits are Required

50

City of Lebanon issued the following announcement on March 29.

The Lebanon Fire Department reminds residents and businesses that fire permits are required by law. Please see the following:

  • A written burn permit is required for all outside fires other than charcoal or propane-fueled devices. This includes chimineas and other outside fire pits.
  • Permits can be obtained through the NH Division of Forest and Lands online permitting system ($5.50 transaction fee) OR in person at the Lebanon Fire Department, 12 South Park Street (no fee)
  • Open burning should be conducted with extreme caution and fires must be attended to at all times. If you think your fire is getting out of control, please dial 911 immediately and request the Fire Department.
  • Please watch for open burning suspension notices via LebAlert, Fire Danger Sign, emails, etc.
For more information about open burn permits, please visit LebanonNH.gov/BurnPermit. If you have any questions about these permit requirements, please contact the Lebanon Fire Department at 603-448-8810.
