Town of Lisbon: Reminder: Dog Registrations Due by April 30th

Town of Lisbon issued the following announcement on April 8.

REMINDER that in accordance with NH state law, all dogs must be registered by April 30th each year. If your dog has had a rabies vaccination since it was last registered, the Town Clerk's Office will need to see a new vaccination expiration date.

Failure to license your dog is a violation of State law. Owners who fail to register their dog by May 1 will be subject to fines and a court summons. Late charges are assessed at $1.00 per month, per dog. Civil forfeiture fines will also be assessed in the amount of $25.00 per dog, which will be payable within 15 days of receipt of the notice of failure to register. Failure to pay late charges and civil forfeiture fees within the 15 day period will result in a summons to appear in court.

Residents may renew on- line here , in person via the drop box at the Town Clerk's Office, or by mail. If you wish to license your dog by mail, please send a check payable to the Town of Lisbon, using the fee schedule below.

License Fees:

Male or Female Dog Not Neutered $10.00

Neutered $7.50

Senior Citizen Owner (65 or over, limit 1 dog) $2.00

Puppies 4-7 months $6.50

If you have had a dog registered, but no longer have the dog, please call the Town Clerk's Office at 603-838-2862 so that records can be updated.
