The town has procured the services of a third-party recruiting firm to conduct a search for a permanent chief and assist in the evaluation of all candidates. Both internal and external candidates are being encouraged to apply, with preference given to internal experience and knowledge of our unique community. The Town of Sunapee expects to have a full-time chief in place by early August.
Sunapee’s current Lieutenant, E. Neill Cobb, will serve as interim police chief beginning 20 May 2022, and continuing until a permanent chief is selected. Neill is well known through the community and has 17 years of experience within Sunapee PD.
