Congratulations to Solid Waste Manager Marc Morgan for being awarded the 2022 Sami Izzo Recycler of the Year Award from the Northeast Resource Recovery Association (NRRA). NRRA presents this lifetime achievement award each year in remembrance of Sami Izzo, a high-energy, multi-talented individual known for her contributions in the world of waste reduction and recycling. This award is given to the individual who best combines the qualities of commitment, leadership, and enthusiasm in developing and sustaining an environmentally and financially sound solid waste management program.
NRRA issued a press release from Executive Director Reagan Bissonnette on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 stating, "Marc Morgan, Solid Waste Manager of Lebanon, NH, has worked in the solid waste and recycling industry for more than 25 years. He has served on NRRA's Board of Trustees and is my "go to" when referring reporters to people knowledgeable about trash and recycling in NH. Marc serves on the NH Solid Waste Working Group, led Lebanon's successful food composting pilot project, and has been a regular contributor as a speaker at NRRA's annual recycling conference. Marc’s outstanding waste reduction efforts and passion for recycling earned him this prestigious award."
Marc is honored to receive the award and states, "Thank you to the City of Lebanon for the many opportunities they have offered me over the years. I am grateful to the NRRA for this honor and all their support over the years in making Lebanon's programs so successful."
City Manager Mulholland and Deputy City Manager - Public Services Nik Coates congratulate Marc on this award stating, "Marc has been a proactive leader in our state regarding recycling, who has served us well over the years. Congratulations."
