Sustainable Lebanon Calling on Lebanon Households

0Comments

Sustainable Lebanon is calling on Lebanon Households to join a coordinated, community effort to become more eco-friendly. News of climate disasters is very disturbing, but what can one person do? You can join Sustainable Lebanon’s SNAPP Initiative by October 2, 2022, to be a part of making Lebanon more sustainable. The SNAPP (Sustainable Nature APP) Initiative supports the City’s goal for an 80% reduction in greenhouse gasses (compared to 1990) by 2050 and a 26% reduction by 2025. Given the fact that we, as residents, control 65-85% of greenhouse gas emissions, we have a significant influence on achieving this goal. SNAPP is designed to guide households to choose greener options for many of the things we do every day. It’s like a pal or guide that will offer suggestions and keep us on track.
Yes, individual actions cannot substitute for policy changes, but individual actions are necessary. Small relatively painless reductions add up over time. The app will show that multiplied by many participants, we can save tons of CO2. Be positive. Sign up to get iPhone app-based support in reducing our climate impact!
