Three student-athletes from the Dartmouth men’s tennis team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, according to a May 12 announcement. The recognition was given to Miles Groom, Henry Ren, and Leo Pade for their achievements both on the court and in the classroom.
The CSC Academic All-District honor is awarded to student-athletes who maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.50 and participate in at least 70 percent of matches that count toward team scores. This year’s honorees demonstrated strong academic records alongside notable athletic performances.
Groom, an economics major, finished his season with a singles record of 23-7 and a doubles record of 21-10 while partnering with Ren. Ren majors in psychology and biology and recorded an individual singles mark of 11-17. Together, Groom and Ren reached as high as No. 24 in national rankings by ITA.
Pade, recognized for the first time with this award, is a sophomore who achieved an 18-11 singles record during the season along with five conference victories.
This marks the second time that both Groom and Ren have received Academic All-District honors.
