Town of Enfield issued the following announcement on April 8.

As posted in our April Newsletter, we have openings on several boards and committees.  If you’re interested in serving on one of these committees simply complete an Application for Committee/Board Membership and email it to abonnette@enfield.nh.us or drop it off at the Enfield Town Manager’s Office.  Applications received by April 13th will be considered for May 1 appointment.  Applications received after April 13th will be considered if any vacancies still exist on the board or committee.

Members of appointed boards, commissions and committees have staggered terms.  Positions are generally for 3-year terms with appointments effective May 1.  The following Town committees have positions that are up for appointment due to the end of the 3-year term or are available due to vacancy:

  • Capital Improvement Program Committee
  • Conservation Commission
  • Energy Committee
  • Heritage Commission
  • Mascoma Lakeside Park
  • Old Home Days Committee
  • Planning Board
  • Recreation Commission
  • Tax Increment Finance District Advisory Committee

And two local area committees:

  • Mascoma River Local Advisory Committee
  • Enfield Shaker Village Scenic Byway Advisory Board

Do you want to serve as an Alternate member?  Most boards and committees have room for alternate members.  Alternate members sit on the board or committee as voting members when there are absences on the board.  Simply fill out the application at the link above and note on the application that you’d like to apply as an Alternate member of the board or committee for which you’re applying.
