Citywide Lead and Copper Water Service Line Inspections

Mayor Timothy J. McNamara | City of Lebanon

The EPA, in the interest of ensuring everyone gets safe, clean, potable water, has revised the Lead & Copper Rule. As part of this rule, all public utilities are required to identify the water service line material to every service connection in all homes and businesses.

The City of Lebanon Utilities Maintenance Crew is going to each neighborhood to do an inspection of water services. The city needs to identify the material type coming into houses and businesses. They will be knocking on doors to see if someone is home so they can go in to identify materials. If no one is home, they will put a notice on the door that explains what we need. If you get a notice, you can send an email telling us what you have for material, or if you are not sure, you can set up a time that we can verify it for you. All contact info is on the notice.

If you have questions, please contact the Public Works Office at 603-448-3112.
