2022 Beautification of Public Spaces a Success

20

The City launched a pilot program in an effort to beautify some of our more visible public spaces. We received interest from several local private and non-profit entities to partner with who helped us make our City even more beautiful. We thank our Department of Public Works staff for all the work they did to make this pilot program a success.

The 2022 pilot program focused on six (6) traffic islands in downtown Lebanon. Our goal was to have these islands beautified by June 1 and we have succeeded. Sponsor signs will be coming to highlight those who beautified either by donating funds or purchasing and using their workforce to plant and maintain a beautification space. We would like to thank our 2022 traffic island sponsors:

  • Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital
  • Goss-Logan Insurance Agency, Inc.
  • Hypertherm Associate Owners
  • Premier Property Services, LLC
  • Simple Energy
  • Three Tomatoes Trattoria
We hope to expand opportunities and branch out to different areas of the City next year to include more and different types of public spaces (designated road medians, leisure ways, parks, lawns around City buildings, et cetera).
